Classified Post Hackathon is a 24 hours challenge for students and fresh graduates to build winning digital solutions for large corporates. The event is for participants to turn ideas into reality and will serve as a platform for them to develop their prototype, enhance their problem solving skills and to learn and meet with technology industry leaders. And at the same time for corporates to explore shining stars from the participants.

Who can enter?
The Contest is open to teams of 3 – 5 members, all of whom are:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Graduates with maximum 2 years’ experience
There is no limitation and restriction on faculty or field of studies. Participants who are creative, think without boundaries, curious and passionate are encouraged to join the competition.
Why should you take part?
By taking part in this competition, you will be giving the opportunity to boost the CVs, network with fellow students and practitioners, meet with industry leaders and gain real-life experience of pitching ideas.
How does it work?
Teams will be assigned to 2 different categories by ballot: Media and Insurance.
For media category: participating teams are required to build their solutions base on the API data sets of participating companies hosted on HKSTP Data Studio

A contest briefing will be held on 3 November 2018 at the Classified Post Career Forum to provide background information about the companies in respective categories.

Judging Criteria
There is no fixed answer to the question itself, and it will be judged by:
• Quality and innovative nature of the idea / demo
• Utility of the idea / demo
Prizes
Outstanding participants will be invited by participating companies to attend their internship programmes or even gain job opportunities!
Each team will receive a HK$300 cash as subsidy upon completion of Day 2 of the contest!
Each category will have its champion, 1st runner up and 2nd running up winners. Their prizes are as below:

Notes:
1. All participating teams grant the organiser and supporting partners the right to use the entry work and idea submitted / presented at the event, including presentation deck and/ or any prototypes developed within the event.
2. All entry should be original work by the participants. Plagiarised or published work (including on the Internet) or work already involved in other competitions will not be accepted.
3. Winning teams are obligated to comply with the organisers’ requests for media interviews and photo/ video shooting (if applicable).
4. The organisers and their affiliates are not responsible for, and expressly disclaim, any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from this programme and/or acceptance or use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury, death, damages, or loss.
5. Anonymisation is an important tool to mitigate the risk of inadvertent disclosure or loss of personal data, analytics will not require the use of data that identifies individuals
6. Data collection, use and solutions should be lawful and comply with applicable privacy laws and guidance notes.
7. All matters and disputes will be subject to the final decision of the organiser.
